Four people were arrested early Wednesday morning after an Erie resident told police a masked person tried to break into their home on Quarry Circle.
A masked person tried to get into the locked front door of a Quarry Circle resident’s house at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to an Erie Police Department press release. Shortly after being called, police found the group’s suspected car and arrested the four in a high-risk traffic stop near Pinecliff Drive and County Road 3, the release states.
Officers found masks, gloves and burglary tools inside the car during the investigation.
Police said Wednesday’s attempted burglary is likely related to other crimes reported in Erie this week, according to the release.
The group faces several burglary charges, including attempted second-degree burglary, criminal attempt to commit burglary, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy to commit burglary and providing false identification to law enforcement, according to the release.
