More than 60 community organizations and municipal governments will receive funds in 2026 for public events and programs through Northampton County’s hotel tax grant program.

The list of recipients, their events and the amounts they won was released Tuesday by Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure. You can view the full list online through norcopa.gov.

The county allocated more than $700,000 in hotel tax revenue toward programs and events slated in 2026.

“Tourism brings people, energy, and investment into Northampton County,” McClure said. “These grants help showcase our communities, attract visitors, and support events and attractions that strengthen our tourism economy while benefiting residents.”

Funded projects include signature events such as ArtsQuest’s America250 celebrations, the Bethlehem Bach Festival, the Celtic Classic Highland Games and Festival, Easton Winter Village and the Easton Book Festival.

The grants also fund concerts, food festivals, heritage tours and community festivals.

Hotel tax grants are funded through the county’s tax on hotels and short-term rentals.

The hotel tax grants are awarded through a competitive process and distributed at the discretion of Northampton County Council, advised by the county executive and based on recommendations from the Hotel Tax Review Committee.
