The Eagles on Saturday elevated long snapper Charley Hughlett and defensive back Brandon Johnson for their Week 18 game against the Commanders.

Earlier this week, the Eagles played some roster gymnastics by waiving Hughlett and sneaking him through to the practice squad. They used his roster spot to activate rookie OT Cameron Williams off of Injured Reserve at the end of his three-week practice window.

So this is the first elevation this season for Hughlett and the third elevation for Johnson, an undrafted cornerback out of Oregon.

The Eagles are going to rest a bunch of their starters against the Commanders in Week 18 on Sunday as they prepare for the playoffs. So quarterback Tanner McKee will get the start.

Even though the Eagles are resting starters, there’s still incentive to win on Sunday. With a win over the Commanders and a Bears loss to the Lions and the Eagles will take over the No. 2 seed in the NFC.

The Bears and Lions also play at 4:25 on Sunday afternoon.
