SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — County officials say a family and their pets are without a home Saturday night after an evening fire in Scranton.
Lackawanna County officials say crews were called to the 400 block of Luzerne Street in Scranton just before 7:30 p.m. for a reported residential structure fire.


The Scranton Fire Department is leading the response with the help of the Scranton Police Department and the Pennsylvania Ambulance, officials explained.
Authorities say the Red Cross has been called to the scene.

Officials add that two adults, two children, and two dogs were displaced as a result of the blaze.
Scranton Fire Department Deputy Chief Dan Hallowich confirmed on scene with 28/22 News that one person suffered minor injuries.


Deputy Chief Hallowich says there is no word on what caused the fire, and authorities are investigating the incident.
