WRGB- Gov. Kathy Hochul is set to present her first “State of the State” proposal later this morning in Erie County.

While the specifics of the proposal remain undisclosed, the Governor has expressed a commitment to affordability.

The governor has emphasized new laws for 2026, including capping out-of-pocket costs for EpiPens and expanding insurance coverage for breast cancer screenings.

Additionally, Hochul has highlighted plans for middle-class tax cuts, increases to the child tax credit, and a rise in the state minimum wage for 2026.

Her legislative agenda also includes a no-tax-on-tips policy to align New York with federal regulations.

More details on her proposals are expected throughout the week, with the State of the State address scheduled for next Tuesday in Albany, where these topics will likely be featured.

The event will be streamed at 11 a.m. on the CBS6 website and social media pages.
