Devlin and Vogel to be inaugurated
Later this morning, inauguration ceremonies will be held for new and reelected members of both Erie County and City of Erie governments.
At 10:00 at Erie County Courthouse Courtroom H, judicial and county elected officials will be sworn in, including Erie County Council members Jim Winarski, Charlie Bayle, and new representative for District 2, Jim Wertz. Aubrea Hagerty-Haynes will be sworn in as Clerk of Records, and Chris Campanelli returns as Sheriff. Newcomer Christina Vogel is the new Erie County Executive. A new magisterial judge Christine Rush will be sworn in, and finally Emily Merski takes the oath as the newest Judge for the Erie County Court of Common Pleas.
Over at Erie City Hall, half of City Council will be sworn in, including Andre Horton, Jasmine Flores, Maurice “Mo” Troop, and Marilyn Pol. Brooke Sanflippo will also take the oath for Erie City Controller. Finally, at 11:00 AM, and streamed on the City’s YouTube channel, Daria Devlin will be sworn in as Erie’s new Mayor, along with new Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah.
