ARDMORE, PA — A fire tore through an apartment in the Ardmore section of Haverford Township over the weekend.
According to the Oakmont Fire Company, the fire started at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at the Haverford Village Apartments, on the 700 block of Ardmore Avenue.
Haverford Police first arrived and found smoke and fire in the building, which led numerous fire companies to show up.
In addition to Oakmont, Brookline Volunteer Fire Company, Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, Llanerch Volunteer Fire Company, Manoa Fire Company, Bon Air Fire Company, and Broomall Fire Company all responded to the scene.
The fire company did not say how long firefighters battled the blaze, what may have caused it, or if anyone was injured.
