WYOMISSING, Pa. – Discovery Federal Credit Union (Discovery FCU) says its participation in the Home4Good program helped to bring 8.39 million to 110 housing stability projects across Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia last year, including specific funding for several Berks County organizations.
Home4Good is a regional initiative that supports housing stability for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their homes.
Home4Good is administered by FHLBank Pittsburgh in partnership with state housing finance agencies. This year, FHLBank Pittsburgh committed $6 million to the initiative, with an additional $2.394 million contributed by housing finance agencies in the three-state region.
Discovery FCU’s participation provided funding to several organizations serving the Reading and Berks County community including:
– PA 211 East – $50,000 to support 2-1-1 Homeless Prevention and Diversion services
– New Journey Community Outreach – $65,000 for The Community Table Meal Program
– Berks Coalition to End Homelessness – $75,000 for the Berks Rapid Diversion Program
– Reading/Berks County Continuum of Care Administration – $10,000

Across the three-state region, the Home4Good program received 116 applications in 2025 and was able to fund nearly all of them, reflecting both the growing need for housing support and the strength of collaboration among financial institutions, housing agencies, and nonprofit partners.
Discovery FCU says it looks forward to continuing its participation in the Home4Good program in 2026.
