The Luzerne County millionaire’s club has two new members thanks to the Pennsylvania Lottery.

Two lottery tickets worth $1 million were recently sold in the Luzerne County.

A ticket with the numbers 00412491 for the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle drawing held Jan. 3 was sold at Wegmans Food Markets, 220 Highland Park Blvd., Wilkes-Barre Twp.

It was one of four $1 million top-prize-winning tickets. The others were sold in Westmoreland, Lycoming and Delaware counties.  In addition, four winning tickets worth $100,000 each were sold in Allegheny, Fayette, Berks and Montgomery counties. The Jan. 3 drawing also awarded 100 prizes of $1,000 and 5,892 prizes of $100, for a grand total of $5,889,200 in prizes.

A $1 million-winning Millionaire Loading Scratch-Off was sold at Schiel’s Family Market, 7 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Schiel’s will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Millionaire Loading is a $20 game that offers top prizes of $1 million.
