BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Reining District 11 Class A boys basketball champ Bethlehem Christian very much looking the part through the first half of this season.
The Panthers are 10-1 so far with their only loss coming against Nazareth – one of the top teams in the EPC.
Bethlehem Christian owns wins over Dieruff, Northern Lehigh and Catasauqua as they continue to try and establish themselves as a heavyweight program. Lacking a true home gym they’ve been doing all this on the road as well.
“They’re not afraid,” said coach Matt DeJesus. “We do it all summer. We do it all offseason so it’s nice and it shows that these guys can play against whoever we get matched up against, and they compete. They respond to the tough games. We’re on the road at all these games too. So it’s a good response.”
The Panthers have a few more challenges on the horizon as they square off against Allentown Central Catholic and Executive Education in the next few weeks.
