Police activity reported near Wawa on Route 309 in Upper Saucon

Police in Upper Saucon Township are asking people to avoid a Wawa and the surrounding area Tuesday afternoon.

The department said about 1:30 p.m. that there is police activity in the area of the convenience store at 6680 Route 309. Sections of Route 309 and Passer Road are closed.

Photos posted on social media showed the parking lot of the store blocked off.
