Nashville Artist and Mercyhurst University alum Garret Owens returned to campus for a special pregame concert at Saxon Stadium on Saturday.
The concert on a stage set up in the parking lot as fans enjoyed tailgating fun before the Lakers matchup against NEC Rival Duquesne.
Owens who graduated in 2020 played football for both Mercyhurst and Duquesne before a stint with the XFL Houston Roughnecks.
He has since launched a successful music career, recently signing a recording contract in Nashville. The performance was free and open to the public.
