COPLEY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Police are investigating the death of a 24-year-old woman whose body was discovered in a hotel room in Copley Township on New Year’s Day.
The Copley Police Department identified the victim as Shawnna Elizabeth Pasquale of Erie, Pennsylvania.
Officers responded to a hotel on Rothrock Road after they received a report of a woman dead inside a hotel room.
Investigators concluded Pasquale died as a result of a physical assault. The office of the Summit County medical examiner ruled Pasquale’s death a homicide.
Authorities did not provide additional information on what led up to Pasquale’s death.
No arrests have been made in connection with the attack, according to Lt. Mike Yovanno. Authorities did not indicate if any suspects have been identified.
