In exchange for Frasca, the Bulldogs sent a 2028 second-round selection (Brantford), 2029 second-round selection (Ottawa), 2027 fourth-round selection (Flint) and 2029 sixth-round selection (Brantford) to the Otters. The Bulldogs also received a 2029 12th round selection (Erie).

Frasca was named captain of the Otters for the 2025-26 season and he hasn’t disappointed scoring 18 goals and adding 21 assists for 39 points in 37 games. His goal and point totals are career bests.

Prior to this season, his second in Erie, the six-foot-one, 180-pound forward played two seasons with the Kingston Frontenacs. Kingston selected him in the first round (17th overall) of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection.

The 19-year-old Caledon native has 63 goals and 80 assists in 204 OHL games. He is a 2026-27 Quinnipiac University commit.

Frasca is now the fifth player on the Bulldogs to have served as captain of an OHL team joining Paquette and Jett Luchanko (Guelph Storm), Ben Danford (Oshawa Generals) and Jake O’Brien (Bulldogs).

“Gabe Frasca is an extremely underrated player who brings leadership and versatility to our group,” Brantford Bulldogs general manager Spencer Hyman said in a release.

“He can play centre or wing, is a shooter with a heavy shot and he hunts pucks all over the ice. He competes every night and is someone we value very highly.

“We’re thrilled to welcome him to Brantford.”

It’s expected that both Frasca and Paquette will make their Bulldogs debut on Wednesday when the Bulldogs host the Niagara IceDogs at the TD Civic Centre in a 7 p.m. game.
