In just the past 10 days, doctors have reported an uptick in flu case numbers, and just in December alone, 10% of cases were influenza.
Doctor Caroline Colleran, the Chief of Emergency Services at Saint Vincent Hospital, stated they have seen an increase in COVID and RSV cases as well.
Dr. Donald Yealy, Chief Medical Officer, shared, “We’ve seen an uptick in respiratory cases at UPMC facilities over the past few weeks. It’s not too late to get a flu shot, which can lessen the severity of symptoms if you do get sick.”
