Consistency was the name of the game when it came to naming kids in Berks County last year.

Two of the top three boys and girls names were the same in 2025 as they were in 2024, according to data from Reading Hospital.

The most popular boy’s name was Noah, while second place went to Liam. Those names were also numbers one and two in 2024.

The third most popular name for boys in Berks did see a change, with Jayden taking the slot. Last year third place went to Oliver.

The Berks ranking reflects the top boys baby names nationally.

Noah and Liam were the most popular boys names in 2025 across the U.S., as well as in 2024, according to BabyCenter.com. Oliver came in third nationally in 2025 and 2024.

When it comes to names for baby girls, Berks did not closely follow national trends but did provide familiar results.

According to data from Reading Hospital, Charlotte landed in the top spot. It was followed by Isabella and Sophia.

In 2024, Penelope led the way in Berks, followed by Isabella and Charlotte.

Nationally, Olivia was the most popular name for baby girls in 2025, followed by Amelia and Sophia.
