Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is on pace to make some franchise history. After dotting the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday with a four-touchdown performance, Rodgers is up to 14 touchdown passes through six games.

That puts him squarely on pace for 40 touchdowns, which would shatter the franchise record set by Ben Roethlisberger in 2018. Roethlisberger threw 34 touchdowns that season, a prolific one with his connection to Antonio Brown powering much of that.

However, Rodgers has done it through an array of targets, including a talented tight end that was built exactly for offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. All four tight ends on the roster have caught a touchdown pass this season.

If Rodgers happened to reach 40 touchdown passes, it would be the fourth time in his career that he would have done so, with 45 being his career high mark. Rodgers is currently tied for the NFL lead with Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff.

Rodgers is the only quarterback in the NFL to have multiple performances with four touchdown throws. His other one came in the team’s 34-32 victory over the New York Jets in Week 1.

Rodgers has come into the Steelers’ offense and powered them to over 20 points in all but one game this season, a testament to how consistent the group has been to start the year.
