A portion of Interstate 79 in Washington County was shut down after large rocks ended up on the road Wednesday morning.

Pennsylvania State Police said rocks fell from the hillside on the eastern side of I-79 North near mile marker 44, causing a full closure. The incident happened just before 7:20 a.m.
