EMMAUS, Pa. – East Penn School District released a statement Wednesday afternoon informing the community of an incident that occurred at Emmaus High School.
At approximately 11:15 a.m., a conflict involving two students took place in the cafeteria and one student discharged pepper spray.
Emergency medical services and police were immediately contacted and responded as needed, according to authorities.
The East Penn School District says they are actively investigating the situation and will take appropriate action in accordance with district policies and procedures.
The district reminds its community that pepper spray is considered to be a weapon, and it is strictly prohibited on school property.
