2 adults and 3 kids made it out of their West Pittston home okay after a fire broke out in the second-floor bedroom on Tuesday night.

WEST PITTSTON, Pa. — A fire broke out in a West Pittston home on Tuesday night. 

The West Pittston Fire Department was called to a home along the 500 block of Luzerne Avenue after a fire broke out in a second-floor bedroom around 10:45 p.m.

5 were inside the home: 2 adults and 3 kids. They made it out okay. 

A firefighter fell off a ladder from the second floor and suffered a leg injury; he was sent to the hospital, and there is no word yet on his condition. 

The fire was out less than an hour later, just after 11:30 p.m. 

There were no immediate details on the cause of the fire.
