VERMILION, Ohio (WOIO) – A dad who allegedly used a cattle prod to discipline his two young children, has a hearing in Erie County Court of Common Pleas Thursday.
In September 2025, Robert Bores pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic violence.
However, in December 2025, the attorney for Bores filed a motion to withdraw his guilty plea.
Judge Roger Binette is expected to Thursday if he will accept the motion to withdrow the plea.
Bores was arrested on March 13, 2024 after a tip from Children Services led Erie County Sheriff’s Detectives to his home in the area of State Route 113 in Florence Township.

According to detectives, the children were seven and eight years old and are currently being cared for by a relative.
