DICKSON CITY, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — The Dickson City Police Department said that the Viewmont Mall was closed and evacuated due to a natural gas leak.
On Thursday, just before 4 p.m, the police department announced on Facebook that the mall was closed due to an emergency.
Police stated that the original dispatch regarded smoke coming from electrical meters; however, it was then regarded as a gas leak.
The Dickson City Fire Department, as well as other units, responded to the mall. UGI and PPL were called to the scene.
