Allentown firefighters are responding to two separate fires Thursday evening.
The first blaze broke out at a commercial building on the city’s east side. That fire was reported at 913 East Highland St., near the intersection with North Irving Street, according to emergency radio dispatches.
Photos shared to social media showed heavy smoke coming from the structure. The building is listed as the address for Super Spa Furniture LLC, a company that sells fixtures for nail salons, according to its website.
Just after 8:30 p.m., the fire department struck a third alarm on the blaze.
A short time after that fire broke out, another was reported at a home on the 400 block of Washington Street in Center City, according to radio dispatches.
Photos shared to social media showed fire in several row homes there. That blaze later went to two alarms.
