Crews respond to incident that closed down stretch of Route 61 in Ontelaunee Twp. | Northern Berks County

ONTELAUNEE TWP., Pa. – An incident closed down a stretch of Route 61 in Ontelaunee Township, Berks County overnight.

Route 61 in Ontelaunee Township was closed in both directions between Route 73 and Snyder Road due to an incident, according to Brandon M. Adams with the Berks County Department of Emergency Services.

Adams said the incident shut down the road around 7 p.m. Thursday night.

No word yet on what the nature of the incident was.
