An Allentown man is accused of raping an unconscious 16-year-old last year in Monroe County, according to authorities.
Stephon Jones, 31, was arraigned Friday morning on charges alleging he raped the girl in February at a resort in Pocono Township.
Jones is charged with a number of offenses, including rape of an unconscious person, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with an unconscious person, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.
Township police said in a news release that its officers were contacted in May by Bushkill Township police, who reported that Jones and a girl, 16, had an “inappropriate relationship,” and may have been at the Chateau Resort in Pocono Township.
Bushkill officers discovered the two in a vehicle during a traffic stop in April, and they discovered the relationship, according to the release.
In their investigation, officers found that Jones and the girl had been in the relationship since summer 2024, and on Valentine’s Day last year he took her shopping at an outlet in Monroe County, police said. Later that day, he rented a room at the Chateau Resort, and he gave her alcohol until she passed out, according to authorities. There, Jones sexually assaulted her until she woke up, when she told him to stop, which he did, police said.
Jones then left the resort and left the girl there alone in the room until the next day, when he picked her up and drove her home, the release states.
Charges were filed Thursday. Jones was sent to Monroe County Prison without bail. He did not have an attorney listed for him Friday.
