“The Trouble with Cali” returned to Scranton amid anticipation for a revealing documentary about its troubled production.

SCRANTON, Pa. — “The Trouble with Cali” returned to Lackawanna County this afternoon.

The Albright Memorial Library in downtown Scranton held a screening of the film to a nearly full room of laughs.

“The Trouble with Cali” was filmed in the late 2000s, directed by the late actor Paul Sorvino, and funded by Lackawanna County taxpayers at a cost of $500,000 in county funds.

This screening comes before the release of a documentary about the production and everything wrong with “The Trouble with Cali”, more than a decade after it was made.

Unlike the film, which was never released, the documentary is expected to be out later this year.
