COPLEY — Copley Township Police are investigating a New Year’s Day homicide at a hotel on Rothrock Road.
“We responded around 6:30 p.m. A hotel employee had found a deceased female in a bedroom,” said Copley Police Lt. Mike Yovanno. “Based on appearances, we determined she was the victim of some kind of physical assault.”
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Shawnna Elizabeth Pasquale, of Erie, Pa. Yovanno said the Summit County Medical Examiner ruled her manner of death to be a homicide, but police had no suspects at the time of the report. He also declined to name the hotel for investigative purposes.
