A 24-year-old is facing criminal homicide charges following an investigation into a shooting that occurred in Cambria County on Saturday. Pennsylvania State Police said in a release obtained Sunday that Dylan Don Lang, 24, of Jackson Township, was arraigned on Oct. 18 at 9 p.m. hours after shots were fired inside a home within the 100 block of Heritage Lane. Officials were called to that home just before 4 a.m. When officers arrived at the home, they said Robert Edward Hagen, Jr., 55, of Jackson Township, was found with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers learned that at the time of the incident, Hagen was in his pickup truck, which was parked in the driveway of Lang’s residence. A woman was also in the truck with Hagen, the release stated.Troopers also learned that Lang was familiar with Hagen.Lang, while armed with a handgun, then exited the residence and approached the truck. He is alleged to have then smashed the driver’s side back window and shot Hagen while Hagen and the woman were still inside the truck. Lang then called 911 and remained at the scene. He was then taken into custody without incident.A 9 mm handgun was found inside the home, and two 9 mm shell casings were recovered from the driveway. Lang has been charged with one count of criminal homicide, one count of aggravated assault graded as a felony of the second degree, and one count of recklessly endangering another person graded as a misdemeanor of the second degree.A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 27 at 9:00 a.m.
