A 19-year-old Clarks Summit man died Sunday morning after losing control of his truck and sliding off a Susquehanna County roadway, state police at Gibson said.

The man — whose name was not provided by police — was traveling south on Route 92 in Gibson Twp. around 6:05 a.m. when the road became icy after a drop in temperature, troopers said.

The truck struck an embankment and several small trees, coming to rest on the passenger side, police said.

The driver — who was not wearing a seat belt — was partially ejected out of the passenger side front window and pronounced dead at the scene by the Susquehanna County coroner’s office, troopers said.
