Support poured in for Tiffany Mongiello as her community rallied at Waldo’s Tavern in Scranton, raising funds to help cover her uncovered cancer treatment costs.

SCRANTON, Pa. — On Sunday, family and friends came together for Tiffany Mongiello during one of her toughest battles.

Support for Tiffany filled Waldo’s Tavern on Greenridge Street in Scranton.

Tiffany has been going through multiple tests and procedures after she was diagnosed with both cervical and thyroid cancer. 

Most of those tests and procedures couldn’t be covered by insurance.

So her friend held a benefit that featured multiple bands, food vendors, basket raffles, and a 50/50 raffle.

“From personally speaking with her today, she was a little overwhelmed, but it’s honestly just because she’s seen how many people came together to help her fight this battle that she’s going to win,” said a friend of Tiffany, Liam Boylan.

Proceeds from the event will go towards helping Tiffany pay for medical expenses.
