CLARK SUMMIT, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — As Halloween quickly approaches, more and more people are getting into the holiday spirit and earlier today families came to Abington Heights High School for a trunk or treat.
Put on by LCBC Clark Summit, families lined up and traveled down a row of decorated trunks.
The church’s fourth year doing the event – its their first not on the church grounds – and among the smiling faces the organizers enjoy the ability to give back to the community.
“We’re not looking to get anything in return,” said campus pastor of LCBC Clark Summit Kyle Martin. “We’re just wanting people to know that we care about them, we love them, we want to provide family friendly activities for them and trunk or treat hits the boxes.”
Last year saw over 600 kids come so the organizers hope even more to enjoy the over 30 trunks they have set up and keep enjoying it for years to come.
