“We are grateful!” the closing announcement reads.

“What began as a cigar lounge became a culture, a community, and a shared experience that extended far beyond cigars. Legacy was a place where guests became friends — and friends became family. So many were introduced to a lifestyle that values slowing down, meaningful conversation and intentional connection. And through those connections, dreams came true. Some guests and members earned college degrees, started and expanded businesses, and some others secured new jobs and careers.”

Husband and wife Rick and Adrean Turner opened Legacy in 2023 at the site of the former Chef Alan’s restaurant.

The lounge featured a warm and welcoming environment, with plush furniture and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

“Before I opened this, I used to have to go to Philadelphia to get this atmosphere, this whole experience,” Rick told 69 News in 2023. “I wanted to bring it here.”

“Not only do we have the freshest cigars, and wonderful libations, but we also have great food,” Adrean added. “So, it’s a whole experience. We call it the Legacy experience.”

In Friday’s closing announcement, the couple honored the lounge’s role in the community, noting that “genuine relationships were formed, and lives were celebrated,” with marriages, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, promotions and baby showers all finding a home at the lounge.

“We are deeply grateful to every staff member, lounge member, guest, partner, artist, entrepreneur, student, and friend who walked through our doors and helped shape what Legacy became,” the announcement continues.

“We are also thankful for the partnerships with community and small business organizations, government leaders, county and township officials, and area universities that supported and walked alongside us. We especially express our deepest gratitude to our three children whose sacrifices, patience, and support made this journey possible. They are the fuel behind everything we do and the reason we build, dream, and move forward with purpose.”

The Facebook announcement has garnered dozens of reactions and comments, primarily from individuals extending warm wishes to the owners and staff.

“Thank you, for the warm welcome every visit made!” one person stated. “I am truly grateful for Legacy Cigars and sadden that its doors are closing. Wishing you and your family the best in your next endeavors!”
