FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – The curfew for Florence teens is changing.
Florence City Council passed the final reading of the new juvenile curfew during a Monday night meeting.
The new curfew will apply to anyone 17 years old or younger and will run from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
In addition, the curfew hours in the D-1 redevelopment district would be 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

There are exceptions to the curfew, such as when a minor is accompanied by an adult who is 21 or older.
Other exceptions include work, school activity, sports or recreational activity, exercising First Amendment rights such as freedom of speech, religion, or assembly, an emergency errand, and interstate travel.
It is unclear when the curfew will go into effect.
