If you’re a fan of this museum in Pennsylvania, now’s the time to show it a little love.
The location has just been nominated by USA Today as one of the best science museums in the United States.
According to a press release sent out on Monday, the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia — which many of you might know for housing medical anomalies such as the megacolon to Soap Lady — is in the running to land this honor, courtesy of USA Today’s 10Best vertical.
The USA Today 10Best page lists 20 nominees total, all of which that were picked “by an expert panel as the best across the country for offering engaging exhibits, hands-on and immersive experiences, and stellar programming.”
The Mütter specifically, according to USA Today, “is a must-see for anyone who finds the world of medicine (or the human body in general) endlessly fascinating.”
“While some areas can be a bit challenging for those of gentler sensibilities, this museum is worth exploring thanks to its vast collection of objects and specimens, largely from the 19th and early 20th centuries, including medical instruments and pharmaceuticals, memorabilia, and unbelievably well-preserved biological specimens ranging from limbs to organs.”
“We are grateful to be nominated by USA Today as the top science museum alongside such other fantastic nominees,” said museum leads Erin McLeary and Sara Ray via the release. “This recognition is a tribute to our incredible team and their hard work to ensure we create dynamic, engaging exhibitions, events, and education programs that resonate with our local community as well as national and international audiences.
“If you’re a fan of the museum, we ask for your support during this voting period.”
Votes are being taken through Monday, Feb. 9, at 11:59 a.m. You can vote for the museum here once a day, per device.
