Joseph M. Gombar
OBITUARY
Joseph M. Gombar, 92, formerly of Shillington, passed away January 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Stefan A. and Anna E. (Stiber) Gombar. He was the loving husband of Gloria A. (Krempasanka) Gombar. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in October.
Joe worked as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service retiring in 1989. A graduate of Central Catholic High School, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Albright College. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Joe was a member of St. John Baptist De La Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington, National Slovak Society of the USA and the First Catholic Slovak Union of the USA and Canada. He was a former member of the Shillington Lions Club.
