LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lancaster Avenue in Lower Merion Township will have a lane closure for a week due to sign installation, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, crews will be installing signage along the road from Friday through Jan. 23.

The work will force weekday lane closures on Lancaster Avenue between Indian Creek Lane and Woodcircle Drive.

Lanes will close in both directions on that portion of road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., PennDOT said.

Drivers should allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Road-Con, Inc. of West Chester is the general contractor on this $3.5 million project, which is fully financed with federal funds, according to PennDOT.
