The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association is keeping its high school football state championships at Cumberland Valley High School. The PIAA has announced that the state’s six title games will be played at Chapman Field in Mechanicsburg through the 2029 season.
The state governing body moved the state championships to Cumberland Valley for the 2022 season after a long run (1998 through 2021) in Hershey. Pennsylvania has been playing state championship games since 1988.
Cumberland Valley High School, the only bidder for the event, will pay the state a little over $140,000 for the games over the next four years.
