Your morning bagel run is about to become more meaningful.
Spread Bagelry, the Philadelphia-born brand celebrated for its honey-boiled, wood-fired Montreal-style bagels, is turning a daily ritual into a chance to give back through a new partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Beginning Jan. 15 — which also happens to be National Bagel Day — guests at all Spread Bagelry locations will be invited to round up their purchase totals, helping to support life-saving research and treatment for children facing cancer and other serious illnesses—one bagel at a time.
The round-up donation program will roll out across all 16 current Spread Bagelry locations. Funds raised through the initiative will support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where families are never billed for treatment, travel, housing, or food, allowing them to focus entirely on their child’s care.
So what’s on the menu at the popular bagel stop? In addition to an assortment of bagels (plain, everything, salted egg, blueberry and rosemary olive oil), spreads (including jam, jalapeno, pistachio honey, scallion, plant-based and more) we well we a few different sandwich options. With the latter, hungry locals can order up bites like the Carnegie Breakfast (pastrami, fluffy eggs, and melted Swiss cheese), The Cure (brisket, smoked bacon and jalapeño cream cheese), The Garden Veggie (veggie cream cheese, crisp cucumber, tomato and baby spinach), the Wood-Oven Tuna Melt and more.
The initiative aligns with Spread Bagelry’s continued focus on hospitality that extends beyond the plate. Recently, the brand partnered with the brains behind Honeysuckle (chefs Omar Tate and Cybille St. Aude-Tate) to offer up a seasonal partnership of limited-time menu items (which were featured in December 2025) to weave together Philly roots, Black foodways and a signature style of cooking.
With this specific partnership with St. Jude’s, Spread is aiming to pair daily rituals like breakfast and coffee with opportunities to support causes that matter. By integrating the round-up option directly into the point-of-sale experience, the brand aims to make giving back both accessible and habitual for guests.
“At its core, Spread Bagelry is built around community,” says Tom Selementi, Chief Executive Officer of Spread Bagelry. “Partnering with St. Jude gives guests a simple, meaningful way to contribute to work that has a real impact on families nationwide, every time they visit one of our shops.”
