SALISBURY TWP., Pa. – A married couple who are both nurses noticed a trend that disturbed them at work. Patients were missing appointments because they didn’t have a ride. So, the couple started a business to help.

Jose Peguero and Suaha Sharif visited 69 News at Sunrise Wednesday morning to talk about the business.

The couple has been running Heartline Transport LLC, based in Bethlehem, for about two years.

Suaha said it’s a non-emergency medical transportation company. The couple picks up people for appointments and family get-togethers, she said.

The business serves Northampton and Lehigh counties.
