SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It was a howl-ing good time! The 7th annual Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade was held on Sunday in Scranton. The PAWsitively For the Animals non-profit group hosted the event at McDade Park.

Its mission is to keep the animals with their families and out of shelters.

“We’re surprised and super happy this is such a great event. Last year was our First year, and we just love all the really cool costumes, and the dogs here are really well behaved,” Dog owner from Lake Wallenpaupack, Richard Dennison, told 28/22 News.

Scout has his own Instagram page, The Pocono Basset. The Best in Show pet received a $100 gift certificate.

Awards were also given to pets dressed as the funniest, most original, cutest, and scariest.

Food, vendors, and raffle baskets were also a crowd pleaser at Sunday’s Halloween pet parade in Scranton.
