BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. – The bomb squad, FBI, local police and fire departments and other entities all crowded a Northampton County neighborhood Thursday night.

County dispatchers confirmed emergency crews were dispatched to a home near Lehigh and 12th streets in Bethlehem Township at 5:20 p.m. They were on the scene for approximately three hours.

69 News arrived to find the bomb squad, FBI, Northampton County Emergency Management, Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, as well as Bethlehem Township police and fire departments on scene.

One woman told 69 News she was stranded outside for two hours waiting to get back in her home.

Records show someone who lives at the address where the bomb squad was called in was recently booked at the Northampton County Correctional Facility with a criminal complaint filed. 

That person is charged with three counts of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize, three counts of reckless endangerment, and a simple assault charge. That person is awaiting a preliminary hearing. 

69 News is still waiting for more information from officials. The Bethlehem Township Fire Department says this was an isolated police matter.
