OBITUARY
Joseph F. Albiero, a lifelong resident of Eynon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 14th at his home. His wife who was his high school sweetheart, the former Lorraine Bianchi passed away December 10, 2013. The couple was married for 58 years at the time of her death.
Born in Eynon, he was the son of the late Francesco and Anna Delonti Albiero. After graduating from high school he joined the United States Marine Corps and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He is survived by his children, Julianne and James Walton, Lori Ann and Robert Scopelliti, Anita Jo and John Young, and grandchildren who were his joy, Joshua and Amanda Walton, Sean and Sarah Walton, Justin and Paige Scopelliti, Matthew and Jenny Scopelliti, Carly Jo and Jason Bartolomei, Holly Ann Young, and partner Donovan Mahoney his great grandchildren who were a blessing, providing laughter and life;Joshua Walton, Hadley Mae Walton, Emma Lorraine and Amelia Francesca Scopelliti, also a sister, Joan Scarpino. He was preceded in death by two sisters Florence Coccodrilli and Sarah DeAngelis.
He spent his time providing for his family with nourishment in mind and body. Protected us with shelter made safe by his own hands. He was kind and accepting of others. His love was shown in his deeds. Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, brother and friend.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. The interment will be private for family members only. Friends may call, at the church from 9 to 10 AM.
