DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke fencing team opens the back half of its schedule with this weekend’s Philadelphia Invitational. The meet, hosted by Penn, is slated for Jan. 17-18 at the Hutchinson Gymnasium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Action is set to begin both days at 8:30 a.m. The Blue Devils face two days of tough competition. Results will be available HERE.

IN THE RANKINGS:
Both Duke squads enter the weekend ranked in the top 25 of the 2025-26 USFCA poll. The Blue Devil women check in at No. 6, while the men are slotted at No. 22.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Duke fencing teams posted two wins apiece, including a sweep of host Ohio State, to headline a strong showing at the Elite Invitational inside French Field House.
In addition to victories over the Buckeyes, the No. 8 Blue Devil women earned a win over No. 7 Penn, while the ninth-ranked Duke men defeated third-ranked Harvard in a thrilling, come-from-behind victory.
Newhard (foil) headlined the women’s performances with eight victories while Young (epee) tallied nine wins on the men’s side.

UP NEXT:
Duke returns to the Keystone State, this time making the trip to University Park, Pennsylvania, for the Penn State Invitational. All the action will take place Jan. 24 at the Mary B. White Building.
