PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) — The Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program (PTRR), designed to help older Pennsylvanians and those with disabilities, is now accepting applications for 2025.
Applications are now open for rebates on any property taxes or rent paid in 2025. The maximum standard rebate is $1,000, with the income limit now set at $48,110.
The PTRR is open to Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people with disabilities who are ages 18 and older. It’s free to apply to the PTRR Program.

For 2024, the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue had processed 511,000 rebates totaling $314 million for Pennsylvanians who submitted an application.
“The bipartisan work that we did to expand the program ensures that it will continue to serve as a lifeline for our older friends and neighbors for years to come,” Governor Josh Shapiro said. “It also shows that we are delivering on the promise I made to put money back into Pennsylvanians’ pockets so that they have the help they need to stay in their homes, pay their bills, and make ends meet.”
