Some Pennsylvania logging and lumber industry groups (including Lancaster County-based Stoltzfus Forest Products) are now requesting a bailout from President Donald Trump’s ill-conceived tariffs and import taxes, according to a Jan. 12 article in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Some Pennsylvania farmers are also seeking federal relief.

Those who unwittingly voted for someone who takes actions against their economic self-interest have, in my view, taken stupidity to a whole new level.

To those people in south-central Pennsylvania: You get what you voted for.
