The Reading-Berks Association of Realtors (R-BAR) has announced its 2026 board of directors and celebrates the outstanding accomplishments of its members and the association’s continued impact throughout 2025.

R-BAR’s board of directors represents a dynamic and diverse group of real estate professionals from six brokerages across Berks County. Led by 2026 President Melissa Fox, the board is committed to advancing the Realtor profession, supporting its members, and strengthening the communities they serve.

“2026 is all about connection — bringing people together, supporting our members, and making a real difference in the communities we serve,” Fox said. “I’m excited to build on what’s working, try new ideas, and keep moving our organization forward in a way that truly helps people.”

In addition to leadership achievements, 2025 marked a banner year for R-BAR’s community service and outreach efforts. The association was honored with Habitat for Humanity’s 2025 Community Partner Award, recognized 40 years of service to Meals on Wheels and achieved record-breaking charitable contributions.

R-BAR members donated a total of 13,220 pounds of food to Helping Harvest, the largest donation among participating organizations, and assembled 388 Easter baskets, the most ever donated by the association.

These milestones underscore the collective commitment of R-BAR members to making a meaningful difference beyond the real estate industry. In recognition of this commitment, R-BAR honors the following individuals and organizations for their exceptional service in 2025 and beyond:

• Municipal Official of the Year Award: Tony Veloz, Community Development Program Manager, City of Reading

• Grow with Berks Award: Jeremy Zaborowski, Executive Director, Berks County Industrial Development Authority

• Volunteer of the Year Award: Sue Bernhard, REALTOR, Realty ONE Group Exclusive — Kutztown

• Affiliate of the Year Award: Fulton Mortgage Company

• Realtor of the Year Award: Ernie Salgado, Realtor, Coldwell Banker Realty

R-BAR extends its sincere appreciation to its members, volunteers, and sponsors whose dedication made 2025 a year of meaningful progress and impact. The association looks ahead to 2026 with continued momentum, strong leadership, and a renewed commitment to serving both the real estate industry and the Berks County community.
