After federal funding cuts that began in March 2025, the Erie Community Foundation re-established their Rapid Response Fund to aid local nonprofits.
Another round of these grants were awarded on Friday, including 108 thousand dollars to the Multicultural Community Resource Center, 50 thousand dollars to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania, and then the New American Academy received over 13 thousand dollars from the Rapid Response Fund.
