RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – The Rapid City Public Library has launched a Year-long, monthly reading challenge where participants can win prizes by logging the number of books they read.
For January, children, teens and adults will have a chance to win four center-ice tickets to a Rapid City Rush game.
For anyone not interested in hockey, don’t worry, because the prizes change every month.
Library Public Relations Coordinator Laurinda Tapper said, “I feel like this challenge is really going to encourage literacy, and education, which is actually very important for all ages, and if you think about our nation’s history, we’ve grown so much, and part of that is how we’re always expanding our knowledge, and this is just a way to encourage that, and celebrate where we’ve been, and where we can go.”
Participants can track their reading by submitting a form at the library or online through the Rapid City Public Library website.
