• $3.17 per gallon average for regular in the market, down 5.3 cents in the past week.
• 14.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and 1.1 cents higher than a year ago.
• $2.79 per gallon is cheapest station in the market, down 3 cents in a week.

• Fourth most expensive for the date behind 2022, 2023 and 2021.
• New Jersey: $2.95 per gallon, down 4.4 cents.
• Wilmington: $2.88 per gallon, down 5.6 cents.
• $2.98 per gallon average nationally, down 4.1 cents.
• $3.59 per gallon average price of diesel nationally, down 3.5 cents.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, on the big picture: “Gas prices have finally fallen below $3 per gallon nationally, the earliest date we’ve seen a $2.99 national average since 2020, when COVID was the primary driver of low prices. OPEC+ deserves much of the credit for this trend, having steadily raised oil production for much of 2025. Currently, 35 states have average gas prices below $2.99/gal. … Barring any major disruptions, gas prices are likely to remain slightly below year-ago levels and could stay under $3 for much of the next few months.”
