In Scranton, a community benefit was held to support Lori Decker, who faces leukemia treatment. Proceeds will aid her medical bills.

SCRANTON, Pa. — On Sunday, community members came together to support one of their own in Scranton.

The Scranton Dunmore Fraternal Order of Police, along Railroad Avenue, hosted a benefit to support Lori Decker.

Decker was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is preparing to start chemotherapy.

There were pasta dinners, a bake sale, and live entertainment throughout the day.

“It’s amazing, it’s, it’s overwhelming like I just,  I don’t even know how to feel, like I said, I have, everybody’s family to me. This is like a Community that’s become family,” said Decker.

The proceeds from today’s benefit will help Decker pay her medical bills and other expenses.
